Admiring the wrapping paper

Yesterday the Christmas gifts for Alexander finally arrived to Sweden. I sent it off the week before Christmas, which I knew was a bit late, but the post office assured me that it would be there within 2-3 days. At least that’s what I paid for. Never listen to Royal Mail :p

Anyway…I sent some clothes since I knew that Alexander would get lots of toys from others in the family, but also because he’s growing like weed :p So I guess in a way it was more of a gift to his parents than anything. In any case, his mom posted these pictures on her blog today and they were taken yesterday when he opened the presents.

She writes that he was more interested in the paper than what was on the inside, and it doesn’t surprise me. After all, in that age they’re not really interested in fashion…heh

If I don’t remember this entirely wrong, I bought him 3 sweaters and a pair of pants…that’s what I remember anyway. It took a while to pick what to buy, so I’m not 100% sure what I finally sent. But the clothes were pretty casual since that’s what they wanted rather than something more fancy.

I found a set that had a shirt, a vest, a tie and a couple of pants while I was looking around and it was so cute :D But after asking them which they preferred, I went for the casual style instead :)

And as you can see in the second photo, the paper was a lot more fun than the clothes…hehehe

His dad was a real fashion model when he was about a year older than Alexander. You could give him anything as long as it was wrapped and he was just as happy about it :) With a bit of luck, Alexander will be just as easy. If nothing else I’m hoping so for his parents sake :p

Then again, if he continue to admire the wrapping paper he will be a breeze…hehe
This wrapping paper had some bears on it, so I picked it especially for this purpose. We didn’t wrap any Christmas gifts for any grown ups last year anyway, so I could pick any I wanted.

I’ve got some more photos of this little gentleman to add here a bit later.

But now I’ve got some baking to do.
Sims2 is gone and my computer is back to normal again :)

We got snow and sun mixed today…at the same time actually…and it’s really weird weather. But at least it’s not as cold as it was yesterday :D

My grandson’s first Christmas

Pictures from my grandson’s first Christmas yesterday :) In full Santa uniform and everything.
While I was on the phone with my son yesterday (one of the times anyway..heh) I heard Alexander yell in the background…and I realized what it is that is so great about being a Granny: You get all the benefits and the rest you can leave to the parents ;) In other words, what I see the most is this smiling happy baby who is about to become a toddler and who is the sweetest thing on the planet :D However, I know the other side of it too…the parenthood and what that brings :p

It’s a blessing in any case, just that as a Granny it’s all fun :D

Alexanders mom wrote yesterday that the Santa uniform had to go after a while during the evening since it was too warm. So that’s why there’s only a little Santa in some of these photos :)

Have a great Christmas Day everyone and I’ll see you all tomorrow (I hope) :D

Santa Baby

Santa Baby is trying to grab the camera...hehe Alexander today in his Santa outfit :D Just got my hands on this photo and couldn't resist :)

What Santa brought me today

I just thought I’d show you one of the Christmas gifts I had from my son Peter, Heléne and Alexander today. And yes, I cheated and celebrated a partial Christmas today since it’s an old tradition I’m use to :p Above is a calendar for 2010 and it’s a whole year together with my grandson :D One image for each month. Can it get any cuter than that?

They also sent some other photo’s in a bigger size that I will frame as soon as I get a chance :D But this calendar was the best :))

I know for a fact that this charmer have been dressed in a Santa costume all day today, so if they have a chance tomorrow or similar, there will probably be photo’s from today’s events too :) Might even be a movie if I’m lucky ;)

What I do know for sure is that there won’t be a game from me tomorrow, which is Christmas Day. There’s been too much to do today, not enough sleep during the night and I’ve got a big lack of brain cells right now. The pain I’m in is taking away too much of my ability to focus, so problem solving is not one of the things I do best at the moment. Not logical enough :p
But I did get some lights for the Christmas tree…even though they might not be of the usual kind…and at the moment the tree’s got the lights and my Steampunk ornaments and nothing else. Tomorrow Robin promised to dig out the rest of the ornaments so I can finish the tree :D

And so far 19 people have died from the cold in the UK…which is unbelievable. Especially since Scotland is the place with the lowest temperatures right now…and we’re talking -16 Celsius…which is nothing. But the papers call it “arctic”…hehe Give me -40 and below that and we can talk about using that word :p
Anyway…it’s mild here in this part of England tonight, the snow is slowly sinking and it’s getting wet and icky instead. There was a lot of fog when we went back home from town earlier this afternoon, but no more snow. Not so far anyway.

Stay warm…drink some mulled wine… eggnog or whatever you fancy that raise your temperature a bit…and make sure to have a great Christmas Day tomorrow.

And with the risk of offending someone (which it seems to be easy to do these days around a holiday like this), have a Merry Christmas!!

Advent Calendar game – Christmas Eve

Well, this should be the last “window” in our Advent Calendar if I was doing this according to the tradition that I grew up with, but we’ll see what happens tomorrow. I have barely slept during the night because of the left side of my upper body, so there might not be a game on Christmas Day, but more because I’m hurting like crazy than anything.

In any way, I started to put together tomorrows game yesterday, so with a bit of help from my friend who’s still snoring in the bedroom, it might be possible :)

Today’s game is similar to the ones I’ve posted lately. The only difference is that you need to put something together first. It’s kinda broken.
I hope you’re not still running around doing any shopping today. We won’t go anywhere today since we had more snow last night and it’s kinda icy out there.
