What a day
While we were on our way to Sheffield earlier today to pick up a new net book for Robin, I began to feel like poop. My throat’s been acting up for a couple of days and I’ve had a cough, but because of my neuropathic problems I can get symptoms of a cold out of thin air. It’s nothing strange.
But during the day today I got a headache and I was so frozen. I kept turning up the heating in the car, while Robin tried not to melt and I was still freezing. On our way back again my body was hurting really bad and it felt as if I just came back from running a marathon.
Back here again we had a late lunch/early dinner and around 7 PM I was in bed, still frozen. I took a couple of Paracetamol about half an hour earlier, but the need to lay down took over and I fell asleep like someone hit me with something hard. Robin came home from seeing his boys around 9 PM, and I would probably still be asleep if he hadn’t woken me up. Feeling a bit better I went up and watched the new episode of Flash Forward, but I’m still not doing well. It’s 11 PM now and I’m back to bed in a bit, hoping this will pass during the night, whatever it is.
Robin is still setting up his new net book and tomorrow we need to go into town to do our weekly grocery shopping. On Wednesday we got a meeting with a potential new client and I’m hoping that this won’t be more than just a cold. So far I think I’m frozen because of a bug only, not because of fever. Colds tend to beat me down pretty bad these days so I’m hoping it’s not the flu.
But, we’ll see how things are tomorrow.
Now I’ve got a bed I need to crawl into. Mr Sandman is hanging out in our bedroom already and he won’t wait all night :p

Ugh! You sound like I was feeling last week. It hit me around Tuesday pretty hard that way and I was flu-ish over Thanksgiving. Still have a cough and some head stuff, but not as bad.
I hope you feel better soon! Bed rest, fluids, and all that is about the only thing that works. I had to pump myself w/Ibuprofin though for fever and pain, which I hate to do since it bloats me. Otherwise, it just has to run it’s course. Funny how they still haven’t found a cure for the ole cold, isn’t it? ;-)
It’s gotta be something special about Tuesdays…LOL
But yeah…I think we got the same thing. I didn’t get it from you though…that would be weird :pp
I think I had a slight fever last night when we went off to bed. My skin gets all hyper’n'stuff when I get a fever, and I ache worse than normal.
And I guess it is as they say – we can go to the darn moon, but they don’t know how to cure a simple cold. Has to do with priorities, me thinks ;)
