Leke’s Return – the staircase
This is going to make absolutely no sense what so ever, so excuse me for sounding stupid or something…but I’ve been painting a lost staircase most part of this evening today :D And I’m excited about it too :p
The staircase once belonged to the ruin across the road here, Scarsdale Hall, and while three rooms are installed at Philadelphia museum, the staircase is said to be stored at the same museum. However, this is denied by the museum themselves. If they deny because they’ve got no clue about it, or because they don’t want to admit it, no one knows.
And up until today I’ve only heard tales about this grand staircase and how everyone we talked to throughout the years since we moved here said that it was amazing.
I didn’t find the staircase itself, but I’ve found piccies :D
The drawing/painting I’m making of it is for the game. And it’s not identical to the actual staircase in the photos either. I’m tweaking it a bit, but other than that I’m literally placing it in the room where it once used to be. In the game, that is :p Difficult to make it materialize and actually put it back in the room on a more physical level, u know :p
The piccies are black and white (and tiny) so I’m guessing that it was made out of oak or mahogany. As far as I can tell, there’s no metal anywhere.
But after seeing how this staircase fits into the ruin, and how there was a ground floor, a landing, first floor and then top floor, the placement of all the doors and fireplaces in the ruin makes more sense too.
And now I’m babbling.
This is far from done, and I need to work a bit more on the walls of course. And the staircase itself. But it will be a nifty addition :D
