I’ve decided to downgrade this new version of WP 2.8 back to WP 2.7.1 again.

Since I posted the last time I’ve been doing troubleshooting, cleared the cache several times (even used CCleaner), rebooted the browser, involuntarily rebooted the computer (Robin happened to unplug me while he was unplugging something else in the back) and even uploaded every darn 2.8 file via FTP manually to see if there was a problem with the automatic update.
Nothing makes any difference.

So they can keep this new version for all I care.
At least for now.

Wake me up when it works again.
And to those of you who released this buggy version – remember that not all WP users know how to roll back the version. It was a nightmare just to find the 2.7.1 and be able to download it. Provide a rollback possibility in the back if you have to use automatic upgrades.
