He’s called “Stinkers”, but he sure is cute anyway :)

Thank God it’s Saturday is an understatement today. No sleep during the night, except from a couple of hours during the morning, so my brain is all mashed up and buzzy. I’ve got the attention span of a 2 year old and what you see above is pretty much my kind of entertainment today :p Even The Muppet Show makes sense :pp

But I have to admit that I always liked The Muppet Show. And I still do. It’s one of those shows that just never dies and I would love to have all 5 seasons on DVD…hehe I’m not sure why, but I always though there were hundreds and hundreds of episodes, while they in reality “only” made 120 episodes. When it aired the first time in 1976, I was 12 years old and I guess while you’re growing up it’s easy to lose track of time. The show always seemed to be there, ya know.

And this is probably one of the most memorable songs from any of the show, the “Mahna Mahna” from the very first episode in the first season :D
There are lots of these on YouTube and I’ll probably spend today watching them all…haha It would sure fit my brain capacity right now :p

Did you ever wonder why there are no dead penguins on the ice in  Antarctica  - where do they go?

Wonder no more ! ! !
It is a known fact that the penguin is a very ritualistic bird which lives an extremely ordered and complex life..

The penguin is very committed to its family and will mate for life, as well as maintaining a form of compassionate contact with its offspring throughout its life.

If a penguin is found dead on the ice surface, other members of  the family and social circle have been known to dig holes in  the ice, using their vestigial wings and beaks, until the hole is deep enough for the dead bird.
The male penguins then gather in a circle around the fresh grave and sing:

“Freeze a jolly good fellow”

“Freeze a jolly good fellow.”

Then they kick him in the ice hole.

Well….maybe not :pp

It’s warm and sunny here today and it feels like July rather than March. Doesn’t mean that it won’t snow tomorrow, but right now it certainly doesn’t look like it. The gardener is roaming around in the flowerbeds, cleaning up and they even cut the grass during the day. Which is a tad too early if you ask me. It never get a chance to grow until the landlord order someone to cut it.
In any case, it’s a sign that spring is here for sure :D

This is a bit late, but when I should have posted this there were too many other things going on, so it will be better late than never :p

The picture above was posted in a newspaper in Sweden in time for April 1. And it has to be one of the earliest Photoshop jobs ever :pp The year was 1950 and the article declared that Stockholm would get flying trams…hehehe
And if you ask me, it’s better done than most photo manipulations are these days in spite of the convenience that Photoshop adds.

Other than that it’s a windy day today and I’m about to start painting in a bit. Gotta dress my female warrior today and paint that underpainting that I kinda forgot last night :p So there will be another update on that in a few hours :)
